Tom Holland, the beloved Spider-Man actor and founder of Bero non-alcoholic beer, recently shared a touching aspect of his relationship with girlfriend Zendaya. During a candid conversation on the Rich Roll podcast, Holland revealed that he loves helping Zendaya with handyman tasks around her home, showcasing his hidden talent for carpentry.
“If something breaks in Zendaya’s house, I take huge pride in fixing it,” Holland, 28, said, explaining that one of his favorite things is assisting her with practical projects. Recalling a recent instance, he shared, “She has this guest room that needed some love. I built her these cupboards, put up a new wardrobe, and fitted it into the wall. I was very proud of myself.”
The actor credits his carpentry skills to his late grandfather, who taught him the craft at a young age. Although Holland humbly downplayed his expertise, he mentioned, “I wouldn’t call myself a carpenter, but I have built things in the past. I could fix a door if it came off the hinges.”

This passion for carpentry goes beyond a hobby. Holland expressed his hope to one day have a personal workshop where he can continue his family tradition. Jokingly, he added that if acting ever fails, carpentry might become his backup career.
In a 2023 interview with UNILAD, Holland spoke about impressing Zendaya early in their relationship by fixing a broken door in her house. “I fixed my girlfriend’s door once, really early on in our relationship. Now, we’re in love,” he said with a smile.
The heartwarming gesture highlights how Holland’s practical skills bring him joy, adding another dimension to his public persona. From building cupboards to fixing doors, Holland takes immense pride in caring for Zendaya’s home, showing that even superheroes can be handy at heart.
This sweet aspect of their relationship offers fans a glimpse of how Holland’s humble, grounded nature shines through both on and off the screen.
