Travis Kelce isn’t afraid to say he’s in a love story with Taylor Swift. During a recent episode of Barstool Sports’ “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast released on June 25, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end opened up about balancing the private and public aspects of his relationship with the pop sensation.
“You want to keep things private, but at the same time I’m not here to hide anything,” Kelce stated. “That’s my girl. You know what I mean? That’s my lady. So it’s like, I’m proud of that.”
Kelce, 34, emphasized that he isn’t trying to conceal his relationship with the “Fortnight” singer. Instead, he aims to protect their personal life from excessive public scrutiny. “You just don’t want to let everybody into your personal life and be able to comment on it knowing that everything she does is getting a headline,” he added.

However, Kelce acknowledged that while it’s been “cool” to see Swifties becoming NFL and Chiefs fans, some of the attention has been overwhelming. “I’ve had fun with just about every aspect of it; it’s just when you’re at home, you want privacy, and you just don’t always get that,” he shared, referring to fans occasionally showing up at his house hoping to catch a glimpse of their private life together.
Kelce revealed that his admiration for Swift deepened when he saw how she managed the public attention while supporting him during the Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl victory. “She’s very self-aware. And I think that’s why I really started to fall for her, just [seeing] how genuine she is around friends [and] family,” he confessed. “It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention, and she just keeps it so chill and so cool.”

Swift made a significant impact on Kelce when she attended her first Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears on September 24, 2023. Kelce recounted how the “Karma” singer chose to walk through the front door of the stadium, eager to share the experience with family and friends.
The podcast episode followed Kelce’s surprise appearance during Swift’s Eras Tour stop in London. During the concert, Kelce, dressed in a tuxedo and top hat, joined Swift on stage for a special segment, delighting fans with his performance. The couple later celebrated at London’s Chiltern Firehouse, staying until around 4 a.m. and showcasing their matching crochet outfits.
Despite the intense public interest, Kelce remains proud and open about his relationship with Swift, highlighting their genuine connection and mutual respect. Their story continues to capture the hearts of fans worldwide, blending the worlds of music and sports in a unique and heartfelt narrative.
