Donald Trump lashed out at Joe Biden after the sitting president made his first public remarks targeting Trump since leaving the White House. The verbal blow-up came after Biden’s speech in Chicago, where he warned about threats to Social Security and took a veiled swipe at Republican efforts to roll back the program.
Speaking at a disability rights conference on Tuesday, Biden didn’t mention Trump by name, but clearly pointed fingers at GOP lawmakers, referencing a past proposal under Trump’s administration that would require Congress to re-authorize Social Security every five years. “Who the hell do they think they are?” Biden asked, slamming the plan as reckless and dangerous for millions of Americans who rely on those benefits.
That single comment was enough to send Trump into attack mode. On Wednesday morning, the former president posted a furious message on Truth Social, branding Biden “THE WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES.” He also accused the current administration of flooding the country with “millions and millions of criminals,” claiming Biden’s immigration policies have opened the door to drug dealers, murderers, and even people released from mental institutions.
“Sorry, but it’s my job to get these killers and thugs out of here,” Trump wrote. “THAT’S WHAT I GOT ELECTED TO DO. MAGA!”
The heated statement wasn’t limited to Biden. Trump also took a swipe at Barack Obama, who recently criticized his move to freeze $2.3 billion in federal funding for Harvard. Obama had expressed support for the university, but Trump responded by calling Harvard a “JOKE” and accusing the school of hiring “woke, Radical Left, idiots” who are “only capable of teaching FAILURE.”
“Harvard has lost its way,” Trump declared, insisting it no longer deserved federal support.
The escalating online tirades mark a sharp return to political brawling as both Trump and Biden gear up for what could be a bitter rematch in the 2024 presidential race.
