A recent social media post, Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with his own attorney, who allegedly advised him not to attend a civil trial where he was found liable for defamation and sexual assault. Trump’s critique comes amid ongoing attacks against E. Jean Carroll, the plaintiff in the case.
Sharing an article linking LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman to Nikki Haley’s campaign funding, Trump called Hoffman a disgusting Slob and accused him of supporting the woman who sued him. Trump reiterated his defense, stating, She didn’t remember the year, decade, or much else! These statements mirror the rhetoric that contributed to his legal defeat in the defamation and sexual assault case.
Trump further revealed, “I was asked by my lawyer not to attend—’It was beneath me, and they have no case.’ That was not good advice,” without specifying the lawyer responsible for the counsel.
