Fiery tirade on his Truth Social platform, former President Donald Trump vented his frustration with New York State Justice Arthur Engoron, who is overseeing his civil fraud trial.

According to a report by Raw Story on Thursday, January 11, 2024, Trump asserted that the judge curtailed his ability to explain that his net worth exceeded the figures presented in his financial statements.
Trump took exception to Engoron’s decision to significantly devalue his Mar-a-Lago estate and other assets, insinuating that this move was aimed at strengthening the case brought forth by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
The former president labeled the trial a “witch hunt” and alleged interference with the election process.
Initially, Engoron denied Trump the chance to speak during the trial’s closing arguments due to his refusal to adhere to specific terms, such as refraining from political statements and introducing new claims.
Furthermore, Trump failed to meet the deadline for submitting his proposed statement.
However, Engoron eventually relented at the last minute, permitting Trump to speak following his attorneys.
The speech was abruptly cut short by the judge after a few minutes, as Trump began expressing his frustration with the entire legal process.
The civil fraud case, initiated by Attorney General Letitia James, contends that Trump and his two adult sons systematically misrepresented the values of Trump Organization properties, including inflating square footage figures.
James is seeking $370 million in fines and the dissolution of the Trump Organization in New York.
While Trump vehemently denies all allegations, Engoron has already ruled on at least one count in summary judgment, signaling that the case predominantly revolves around assessing damages.
The trial has attracted considerable attention due to its potential repercussions for the future of the Trump Organization.
Should the judge rule in favor of the Attorney General, it could lead to substantial financial penalties and the dissolution of the organization.
However, with the trial ongoing and the closing arguments concluded, the final verdict is pending.
The contentious nature of the trial and Trump’s public outbursts underscore the heightened emotions surrounding the case.
As the legal proceedings persist, all eyes remain on the judge’s decision and the potential impact on the former president and his business empire.
