Former President Donald Trump has once again targeted former Rep. Liz Cheney, labeling her as a “Crazed Warhawk” as she actively campaigns alongside Vice President Kamala Harris. This latest round of attacks was delivered through a series of posts on Truth Social, where Trump expressed his disdain for the partnership between the two political figures.
Trump, in a fiery message, criticized Harris and Cheney for their collaboration, accusing the Vice President of having a low IQ and describing Cheney as “dumb as a rock” and a pro-war advocate. He further claimed that Cheney, much like her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, pushes for military conflicts, specifically with Muslim nations. In his post, Trump highlighted his belief that Arab voters are outraged by Harris’s association with Cheney, accusing the duo of being reckless warmongers.
This is not the first time Trump has taken aim at Cheney. Just this month, he referred to her as a “low IQ War Hawk,” continuing his long-standing feud with the former Wyoming congresswoman. Trump’s disdain for Cheney stems from her role in voting to impeach him after the January 6 Capitol riot and her participation in the House Select Committee investigating the incident.
Cheney, on the other hand, has taken a bold stance against Trump and aligned herself with prominent Democrats in the 2024 election cycle, including Vice President Harris. Cheney has publicly stated her support for Harris, even predicting that “millions of Republicans” will cross party lines to back her in the election. Despite being ousted from her seat in 2022 by Trump-backed candidate Harriet Hageman, Cheney remains a vocal critic of the former president and a defender of what she describes as the constitutional values of the U.S.
Trump’s attacks come as Cheney continues her campaign efforts not only for Harris but also for other key Democrats, including Rep. Colin Allred of Texas, who is challenging incumbent Senator Ted Cruz. Her alignment with Democratic candidates is a clear indicator of her commitment to opposing Trump’s influence in American politics.
As the 2024 election intensifies, the rivalry between Trump and Cheney continues to capture national attention, with both figures standing firmly on opposite sides of the political spectrum. Cheney, identifying herself as a “Reagan conservative,” appears undeterred by Trump’s insults, remaining focused on her mission to rally against his return to power. Meanwhile, Trump’s sharp rhetoric highlights his determination to prevent Cheney and her allies from gaining further political traction.
