In a scathing critique on Monday, former President Donald Trump slammed his successor, Joe Biden, accusing him of prioritizing vacations over critical national issues.*
Trump, widely speculated to run for president again in 2024, condemned Biden’s alleged neglect of pressing matters such as the border crisis, inflation, and foreign policy. Accusing Biden of laziness and incompetence, Trump drew a sharp contrast between his own work ethic and accomplishments during his tenure.
The former president claimed that Biden spent over a third of his presidency on vacation, a period when the nation grappled with numerous challenges and threats. Trump asserted that Biden reversed policies credited with making America great, including securing the border, military rebuilding, trade deal renegotiations, tax and regulation cuts, and energy independence promotion.
Highlighting what he referred to as a humanitarian and national security crisis, Trump criticized Biden for the surge of illegal immigrants at the southern border, bringing with them crime, drugs, and disease. Additionally, he accused Biden of contributing to the worst inflation in 40 years, adversely affecting the middle class and the poor.
Trump contended that Biden’s actions weakened America’s global standing by capitulating to China, Iran, Russia, and the Taliban. He suggested that if Biden had left his policies untouched and refrained from intervening, the country would be in a significantly better state.
Mocking Biden’s vacation choices, Trump singled out the president’s time spent at his beach house in Delaware, Camp David, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he is currently vacationing for the New Year holiday. Trump quipped, “If Biden only would have gone to that beach he goes to so much and just sat there trying to lift the chair, which weighs about three ounces, then things would be better for the country.”
In contrast to Biden, Trump asserted that he never took a true vacation during his presidency, emphasizing his constant dedication to working for the American people. He highlighted the use of his Mar-a-Lago resort as the “Southern White House” for hosting world leaders, lawmakers, and conducting official business. Trump also defended his golf outings, claiming they were a means to negotiate and make deals with influential figures.
Proud of his presidential record, Trump listed accomplishments such as rebuilding the economy, job creation, manufacturing resurgence, unemployment reduction, wage increases, and poverty alleviation. He emphasized his appointments of hundreds of conservative judges, including three Supreme Court justices, and his commitment to defending the Constitution, the rule of law, and religious liberty.
Trump asserted that he had made America safer by defeating ISIS, eliminating terrorist leaders, securing the border, building the wall, and restoring law and order. Expressing confidence in winning the 2024 election, he claimed to have the support of the majority of the American people, who he said were fed up with Biden’s perceived incompetence and corruption.
In closing, Trump pledged to continue fighting for the truth, freedom, and the greatness of America, vowing never to let the country down.
