Chris LaCivita, one of Donald Trump’s key campaign managers, has made headlines for raking in an eye-popping sum of over $22 million during the last two years. As Trump aims to retake the White House, LaCivita has turned his advisory role into a lucrative venture.
A recent investigation by The Daily Beast revealed that LaCivita earned $19 million in 2022 alone, acting as a “strategic consultant” for two Trump-aligned super PACs. His earnings haven’t slowed down since. Thanks to hefty commissions from Trump’s 2024 campaign ads and consulting fees, LaCivita is still bringing in big money. He’s set to receive an additional $150,000 bonus if Trump clinches the election win, on top of the $75,000 per month he’s already pulling in for “voter contact consulting.”
The contrast between LaCivita’s earnings and those of others in the political field is stark. For instance, Susie Wiles, Trump’s other co-campaign manager, volunteers her time, while Kamala Harris’s campaign manager makes a relatively modest $13,442 a month, according to campaign finance records.
LaCivita’s hefty paycheck came under scrutiny after an audit by Trump’s senior adviser, Corey Lewandowski, who recently returned to the campaign. Lewandowski discovered that LaCivita’s consulting firm, which operates from his home and has no website, had already pocketed $3 million from Trump’s race, with a potential to collect another $5 million by the November election.
Though both LaCivita and the Trump campaign pushed back on The Daily Beast‘s findings, they didn’t provide alternative figures. In his defense, LaCivita called the story “fabricated nonsense,” dismissing critics as “talentless grifters” seeking to defame him.
The backlash isn’t new. In 2022, a super PAC backing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis accused LaCivita of using Trump’s campaign for personal gain. Documents uncovered during the midterms showed that LaCivita earned $15.7 million from one Trump super PAC and another $4 million from a second.
Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign continues to lag behind Kamala Harris’s fundraising efforts, adding fuel to the debate over LaCivita’s compensation. Despite the criticism, it appears that LaCivita has no plans to slow down. His financial success may raise eyebrows, but he remains committed to delivering electoral victory for Trump—while cashing in along the way.
