Omaha, Nebraska is set to host an event that’s been likened to a Taylor Swift concert or a Coachella-style festival.

But instead of screaming fans and live music, it’s Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor, who takes center stage at the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders meeting.

Dubbed “Woodstock for capitalism,” this event attracts over 40,000 people who come to hear Buffett’s insights on the economy and investing.

The event, which lasts for five hours, is not just a gathering of shareholders; it’s a spectacle that draws in celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bill Murray, and Glenn Close, as well as business titans like Bill Gates, Jamie Dimon, and Tim Cook.

For many attendees, this meeting is the highlight of their year, offering a unique opportunity to hear directly from Buffett, whose net worth stands at a staggering $132 billion. Some shareholders even start lining up as early as 3 AM to secure the best seats once the doors open.

But it’s not just about Buffett’s words of wisdom. The event also features a giant retail experience where shareholders can shop for merchandise from companies owned by Berkshire Hathaway, including Fruit of the Loom and Dairy Queen.

And let’s not forget the special film that kicks off the event, which is never seen outside the hall and has only leaked in still images on rare occasions.

This year’s event will be bittersweet as it marks the first time Charlie Munger, Buffett’s longtime sidekick and vice chair of Berkshire Hathaway, won’t be present following his passing last November. Despite this, the show must go on, and attendees are gearing up for another memorable experience at what has been dubbed “Woodstock for capitalists.”
