A recent GB News report on Monday, November 20, 2023, Dr. Taylor Marshall, a political commentator, placed former President Donald Trump in the spotlight, dubbing him the lesser of two evilsĀ in a potential 2024 rematch against Joe Biden.
Marshall, in an interview with GB News, expressed reservations about Trumpās stance on certain key issues, particularly criticizing his approach to the LGBT agenda as beyond tolerant.
While acknowledging Trumpās foreign policy achievements, especially in Afghanistan, Ukraine, and the Israel-Palestinian conflict, Marshall raised concerns about the former presidentās consistency on pro-life issues.
During the interview, Marshall shared his decision not to pursue a presidential candidacy, emphasizing his desire to highlight what he perceived as deficiencies in Trumpās campaign.
I threw out a presidential candidacy attempt this year because not that I thought I would beat out Donald Trump. I wanted to throw my hat into the ring and say some of the deficiencies in Trumpās campaign, Marshall explained.
Regarding Trumpās impact on the judiciary, Marshall recognized the former presidentās efforts to appoint judges potentially influencing Roe v. Wade. However, he underscored Trumpās pro-life stance as not consistently aligned with Republican and Christian expectations.
In praising Trumpās foreign policy approach, Marshall suggested that crises in Afghanistan and Ukraine might have been averted or less escalated if Trump had remained in office. Marshall attributed this potential outcome to Trumpās perceived strength and decisiveness, contrasting it with perceived weaknesses in President Bidenās administration.
I have little doubt in my mind that if he was still president, we would not have had the disaster in Afghanistan, and this conflict in Ukraine would not have been as escalated as it is, Marshall stated.
In response to recent criticism from the White House, with President Biden likening Trumpās rhetoric to that of Nazi Germany, a spokesperson from Trumpās campaign defended the former presidentās comments. The spokesperson labeled Bidenās accusation as despicable and reinforced Trumpās commitment to addressing perceived threats within the country. We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, Trump declared during a rally in New Hampshire on Veterans Day, addressing his supporters.
