Medford – A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Medford, as a 4-year-old boy tragically lost his life due to severe disciplinary actions taken by a 33-year-old man, reportedly his cousin. The shocking incident unfolded after the child had innocently put his shoes on the wrong feet and used the toilet differently from what the man deemed appropriate.
According to reports from the LeakXtra, officers who responded to the scene discovered a distressing scene. There were signs of bl00d on the bathroom counter and sink, damage to the bathroom door, and multiple blo0dstains on the walls in various bedrooms. The 4-year-old boy was swiftly rushed to the hospital due to the severity of his injuries. However, doctors later revealed that the child had suffered non-accidental trauma and tragically never regained consciousness. The cause of his death was attributed to blunt force injuries to his head.
Police officials shared that the 33-year-old suspect explained that he was disciplining the child by making him do wall sits because the boy had put his shoes on the wrong feet. The situation escalated when the little boy needed to use the restroom. The man became further upset, as the child opted to sit on the toilet to urinate, which he perceived as non-conventional behavior for a boy.
The suspect then made the young boy return to the wall to continue doing wall sits. At a certain point, he noticed the child on the ground near the corner of the door frame, with blood coming out of his mouth. The child’s mother, identified as Jasontina, had been in and out of the house during this period, tending to grocery shopping and unloading items from the car. She informed investigators that she was aware of the discipline being administered to her son, stemming from his incorrect shoe placement.
The 33-year-old suspect now faces potential legal consequences, with a possible sentence ranging from 45 to 65 years in prison if convicted of the charges stemming from this tragic incident. However, prosecutors have indicated that the suspect’s statements do not fully account for the extensive injuries discovered by doctors before the child’s passing.
These injuries include patterned bruising on his scalp, subdural and subarachnoid hemorrhage, severe hypoxic brain injury, torn upper lip frenulum with surrounding mucosal bruising, bruising on his arms, suspected laceration/contusion of the mid-portion of the pancreas, potential bowel contusion of the ascending colon, several possible rib fractures, and patterned bruising on his back with diffuse bruising over his right buttock.
