The distressing call was made on July 23, 2023, and the urgency in the dispatcher’s voice is palpable as they reported, “We have a man drowning in the back of the property right now.†Despite a swift response from rescue swimmers, they initially struggled to locate Campbell. It later came to light that Campbell was wearing all-black attire and was not wearing a life preserver, making the search even more challenging.
