The baptisms at Pirate’s Cove, along with the Jesus People movement, have gained further recognition through the movie “Jesus Revolution.” Released in theaters in February, the film became a box office hit and recently topped DVD and Blu-ray sales. The movie depicts the transformative impact of the Jesus People movement and the baptisms that took place at Pirate’s Cove.

Pastor Greg Laurie, from Southern California, expressed his belief that God is at work through the film, emphasizing the hunger people have for spiritual experiences. He shared stories of spontaneous prayer and worship breaking out during screenings and even witnessing impromptu baptisms in front of theaters.
