Small Mississippi town is reeling after a horrifying case that left even veteran law enforcement officers stunned. Denise Frazier, 21, has been sentenced to four years in prison after disturbing videos surfaced showing her engaging in unspeakable acts with a dog.
Frazier, arrested in Hattiesburg, faced charges of unnatural intercourse and attempted unnatural intercourse. On January 24, a judge handed down her sentence, which also includes five years of probation and over $2,600 in fines. Authorities say three different dogs were involved, all of which have since been rescued and received veterinary care.
The case first came to light in 2023 when Frazier was arrested in another Mississippi county for similar offenses at just 19 years old. Investigators say explicit footage circulated on Snapchat, eventually leading to her arrest. Sergeant JD Carter of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, who has been in law enforcement for 17 years, described the case as one of the most disturbing he has ever encountered.
“JCSD is in possession of several videos that are so graphic that we are not at liberty to release them or even discuss their content,” Carter stated.
When confronted, Frazier allegedly admitted to being the person in the videos but claimed she was forced into committing the acts. She told authorities that she had been threatened and also claimed that people paid her for the disturbing content. However, law enforcement officials say they have found no evidence to support her claims, though investigations are ongoing.
Animal rights activists are calling for stricter enforcement of animal cruelty laws. Doll Stanley, a senior campaigner for In Defense of Animals’ Justice for Animals program, emphasized that while Frazier’s sentencing is a step toward justice, more needs to be done.
“This sentencing is a step toward justice, but the fight isn’t over—we are still pushing for full accountability in Jones County, where Frazier’s abuse first came to light,” Stanley stated.
Authorities suspect there may be additional videos filmed in other locations and have alerted nearby sheriff’s departments to investigate further. Meanwhile, the rescued dogs, including one Frazier referred to as a ‘service dog,’ are receiving care and rehabilitation.
“This is a case unlike anything we’ve dealt with before,” Carter added. “There are really no words to describe it other than disgusting.”
With the investigation still ongoing, many in the community are left wondering how such a horrifying situation went undetected for so long.
