CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA — Amanda Lois Holley Hileman, 43, who found her greatest joy in family gatherings, blooming gardens, and quiet moments by the water, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Her vibrant spirit, deep love for nature, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones will be remembered by all who knew her.
Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, Amanda was the beloved daughter of the late Johnny Dale and Violet Parks Holley. Although she began her life in the sunshine of Florida, it was in Castlewood, Virginia, where she put down roots and truly built her world — one filled with laughter, faith, and blooming flower beds.
Amanda’s connection to nature was unmistakable. She adored her garden, treating each flower as a friend and each new bloom as a reason to smile. Her heart was most at ease at the beach or near any body of water, where she found both joy and peace. Whether it was a trip to the shore or an afternoon by a local stream, the water was her sanctuary. But more than her love of the outdoors, Amanda’s greatest happiness came from the people around her.
Family was the heart of Amanda’s life. She was a devoted wife to Robbie “Rob” Hileman, and a proud mother to her daughter Chasity Holley and her sons Caleb Holley, Darryl Hileman and his wife Amanda, and Dalton Hileman. Her home was always open, filled with laughter, stories, and the love that only a tight-knit family can bring. Amanda cherished her grandchildren — Branson, Clayton, Aubrey, Brooklyn, and Willow — and never missed a moment to celebrate their milestones or share her warmth and wisdom with them.
Amanda’s family extended far beyond her immediate circle. Her sisters, Tammy Lindley and Dee Dee Lindley, and her brothers, Michael Parks and Johnny Persyn, remained close companions throughout her life. She was also blessed with the love and support of her uncle Paul Holley and his wife Debbie, as well as several nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
Amanda’s faith played a quiet but meaningful role in her life. She attended Springfield Baptist Church in Castlewood, where she found strength, comfort, and community. Her gentle presence was a blessing to those in her congregation, and she is remembered for the kindness and compassion she shared with others, both inside and outside of church walls.
Funeral services to honor Amanda’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Stuart Smith leading the ceremony. She will be laid to rest at Temple Hill Memorial Park, a peaceful resting place in the heart of Castlewood. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers, a fitting tribute for a woman who meant so much to so many.
In the days following her passing, Amanda’s family expressed their deep gratitude to God for the time they were given with her. Her presence was a gift — one that offered comfort in times of trouble and joy in everyday life. Her legacy is not only found in the memories of those she leaves behind but in the gentle lessons she taught: to love fiercely, to treasure the beauty around you, and to never take time with loved ones for granted.
The Hileman family invites those who knew Amanda to visit the Castlewood Funeral Home website to share memories, send condolences, and view a special video tribute celebrating her life. These online tributes offer a space for family and friends near and far to gather in spirit and reflect on the life of a woman who gave so much of herself to others.
Amanda Lois Holley Hileman’s story is one of love, resilience, and grace. From her days in Florida sunshine to her years in the Virginia hills, she embraced every chapter with quiet strength and an open heart. While her absence leaves a space no one can fill, her light lives on — in every blooming flower, every wave that crashes on the shore, and in every smile of those who loved her.
