Ariana Grande has publicly apologized to Elvira, the iconic horror hostess, after Elvira shared an encounter in which she felt disrespected by the pop star. The incident took place several years ago but resurfaced during a recent Q&A session at Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park, California.
Elvira, known for her charming personality and spooky style, was asked about her shadiest celebrity encounter. She recounted the experience with Grande, recalling that she had attended one of Grande’s events with 20 guests and requested 21 tickets. According to Elvira, Grande came backstage and asked if her friends and family could join her. However, when Elvira requested a photo together, Grande declined, stating, “No, I don’t really do that.” Elvira further noted that Grande left before her show started, leaving her family behind.
This anecdote quickly gained traction online, with clips circulating on TikTok. In response to Elvira’s remarks, Grande took to social media to express her regret. She explained that the encounter occurred around seven years ago during a time when she struggled with anxiety, which led her to leave early. “I’m so disheartened to see this,” Grande wrote. “I actually don’t even remember getting the chance to meet you because I had an anxiety attack and, to my memory, left before the rest of my family. At that time, I was really not great with being in public crowds or loud places.”
Grande continued her apology, acknowledging the impact of her actions: “But if I’m misremembering this moment, I sincerely apologize for offending you so. Thank you for being so nice to my mom; she told me how lovely you were. Sending love always. ❤ You’ll always be our queen of Halloween!”
In addition to navigating this situation, Grande is preparing for her upcoming role in the highly anticipated film adaptation of Wicked, which is set to hit theaters on November 22.
