In a surprising endorsement that’s sure to stir up buzz, Violent J from the Insane Clown Posse (ICP) has officially thrown his support behind Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election. In a candid and colorful interview with comedian Troy Iwata on The Daily Show, the rapper shared his thoughts on why Harris is his top pick for the White House.
“I want her to win because she’s a Democrat, and I love my mom,” Violent J said, revealing a more personal motivation behind his political stance. The ICP frontman even took a moment to learn the correct pronunciation of Harris’ first name, calling it “fresh.”
Violent J’s Take on Key Issues
The conversation covered a variety of political topics, giving insight into Violent J’s views on hot-button issues. When asked about mass deportation, he responded with an emphatic “fuck no,” recalling his disdain for Donald Trump’s border wall policies. “Now I remember why I hated Trump — that wall shit,” he remarked.
Violent J also voiced strong support for women’s rights, stating that women “have the right to be the fuckin’ shit.” As for environmental concerns, he took a unique approach, pointing out humanity’s need to respect other species: “Let me tell you what a superior animal is: a whale.”
A Proud Taxpayer
When it came to taxes, Violent J offered one of the most memorable quotes from the interview. He explained that his loyalty to the Democratic Party stems from his mother’s beliefs about economic fairness, saying, “My mom said the Democrats are saying less taxes on the poor, more taxes on the rich.” He also didn’t hold back when describing his own tax contributions, proudly claiming, “I pay up the fucking anus, and I’m happy about it. I pay double what they ask.”
No Opinion on Tim Walz
Interestingly, while Violent J had plenty to say about Harris and her policies, he was at a loss when it came to her running mate, Tim Walz. When shown a photoshopped image of Walz in Juggalo makeup, Violent J’s initial response was confusion, followed by a giggle, and a simple, “I am absolutely opinionless on that man.”
Violent J Joins a Growing List of Harris Supporters
With this endorsement, Violent J joins other high-profile musicians like Taylor Swift, Neil Young, and Lil Jon, all of whom have rallied behind Kamala Harris’ campaign for president.
As for Insane Clown Posse’s future plans, the group is currently on their “Train of Terror Tour,” with performances scheduled across the South and Midwest. The tour will wrap up on Halloween night in their hometown of Detroit. Fans can still grab tickets to see the duo live.
