Clark, known for her prowess on the court, arrived at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in a sleek ensemble featuring a black crop top and shimmering silver pants. Her bold fashion choice did not go unnoticed, with the popular X account Clark Report dubbing her look as “a tin out of tin.”

But Clark’s style was not the only thing turning heads. On the court, she showcased her skill by scoring 19 points, including a three-point shot that broke the rookie record, previously tied with Atlanta Dream’s Rhyne Howard. Additionally, Clark contributed five assists and five rebounds to the Fever’s victory.

While Clark made a significant impact, she wasn’t the top scorer for the Fever. Kelsey Mitchell led the team with 23 points, achieving an impressive 8/14 shooting performance. Mitchell has been consistent since the Olympic break, scoring 20 or more points in each of the Fever’s last five games, contributing to a 4-1 record.

Mitchell praised her teammate’s influence, saying, “I value what Caitlin brings to the table because not only does she have the pace and the space, but she can shoot the lights out, and you just got to be ready when your number’s called with a person like that.”

The excitement didn’t end with the game. Olympic gold medalists Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas attended the match, adding star power to the event. Biles and Thomas, who won three golds each at the Paris games, joined the Fever players in the locker room post-game. Biles shared her enthusiasm on social media, expressing her support for women’s sports and her excitement about attending her first WNBA game.

With this win, the Indiana Fever have surged up the WNBA standings, inching closer to a playoff spot. The team will face the Seattle Storm on Friday, August 30, as they continue their push for a postseason berth.

As Clark and her teammates prepare for their next challenge, the Fever’s recent performances and standout moments promise an exciting finish to the season.
