Newly unsealed filings in the classified documents case involving former President Donald Trump have intensified criticism of the FBI, with some calling for the agency’s disbandment. Conservative commentator Phillip Buchanan, known online as “Catturd,” joined the condemnation on May 21, tweeting, “Disband the FBI!!!!” in response to right-wing activist Julie Kelly’s posts about the unsealed documents. Kelly shared excerpts from the filings, highlighting the FBI’s readiness to use deadly force and their extensive tactical preparations for the raid.
The “Operations Order” produced in discovery outlined the FBI’s objective to seize “classified information, NDI, and US Government records” as described in the search warrant. The order also included a “Policy Statement” on the “Use of Deadly Force,” which allowed Department of Justice law enforcement officers to use deadly force when necessary.
