Kirk was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Although he faced challenges in Arizona, his performance has improved significantly since joining the Jaguars. In his first season with Jacksonville in 2022, Kirk caught 84 passes for 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns, showcasing his ability to be a primary target. Last season, despite missing five games due to injury, he still managed to achieve 57 receptions on 85 targets for 787 yards, averaging an impressive 13.8 yards per catch.
