Chris Hemsworth was awarded the 2,781st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, May 23. Accompanied by his wife, Elsa Pataky, and their 10-year-old twin sons, Sasha and Tristan, the Thor actor appeared delighted during the event. However, Elsa’s outfit choice sparked controversy among fans.
The ceremony took place at 6819 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of Ovation Hollywood, where Chris was honored in the Motion Pictures category.
A photo of Chris, Elsa, and their children showcasing the new Hollywood star was posted on Just Jared’s Instagram page, leading to mixed reactions online. Many criticized Elsa for what they deemed an inappropriate outfit.
Fans React to Elsa Pataky’s Outfit
Elsa Pataky became the focus of negative comments, with critics saying her attire resembled pajamas rather than a glamorous outfit suitable for the occasion.
“Why is she wearing pajamas?” one Instagram user questioned.
Another person asked, “Why is Elsa so poorly dressed always?”
Some comments included, “Was she rushed out of bed to come?” and “Why is Elsa wearing lingerie?”

Chris Hemsworth’s long-time Avengers co-star, Robert Downey Jr., was also present to celebrate the occasion with a light-hearted roast. Downey asked their Marvel co-stars Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Evans to describe Hemsworth in three words, eliciting laughter from the audience.

On a more serious note, Downey praised Hemsworth for being one of the most remarkable people he knows. The Melbourne native received his star just a day before the release of his latest movie, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Downey expressed his anticipation for the film, predicting it would be the standout movie of 2024.
“Beyond the cape and the hammer is a contagious Aussie charm. You are a remarkable human being. You are a legend,” Downey said. “Chris is a bit daunting to describe. He’s very elusive because of the pretty packaging. However, upon further inspection…down under…he has a true wit and depth of soul and it has been my sincere pleasure to know you.
