Sean “Diddy” Combs is now serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, where federal officials have updated his projected release date after recent rule violations.
The music mogul, who was arrested in September 2024, is in the middle of a 50-month federal sentence tied to prostitution-related charges. He was transferred to the low-security Fort Dix facility shortly after his October 2025 sentencing. His release, once expected on May 8, 2028, has now been moved to June 4, 2028.

Federal records attribute the change to disciplinary actions inside the prison. Reports say Combs was cited for alcohol-related misconduct and unauthorized communication, both of which factored into the revised timeline.
At Fort Dix, Combs works in the prison chapel and takes part in a drug-treatment program—key elements of what officials describe as a structured rehabilitation plan. His first weeks at the facility have involved settling into these programs while also undergoing disciplinary reviews.
Combs’ conviction stemmed from a high-profile trial where he was found guilty of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted of more serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking. His sentence includes a four-year prison term, a fine, and several years of supervised release once he leaves federal custody.
For now, authorities have not indicated whether he could qualify for additional sentence reductions or early-release opportunities beyond the updated schedule.
