In a late-night social media rampage on Monday, October 30, former President Donald Trump, 77, took to Truth Social to express his grievances about the gag order ruling imposed by Federal District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan.
“RADICAL LEFT JUDGE TAKING AWAY MY RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH IN ORDER TO HELP CROOKED JOE BIDEN & HIS THIRD WORLD ELECTION INTERFERENCE SCAM. AS GOOD AS THIS SOUNDS, IT WON’T WORK!” he proclaimed in his first post, fired off around 1 a.m.
“REMEMBER, CROOKED JOE BIDEN AND HIS RADICAL LEFT THUGS WAITED THREE YEARS TO BRING THESE INDICTMENTS & LAWSUITS AGAINST ME, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY CAMPAIGN!” he continued.
However, Trump’s rant didn’t stop there. At 4:24 a.m., he abruptly posted, “ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!”
Social media users couldn’t help but respond with amusement. One individual quipped, “Sounds like Sleep Interference,” while another questioned, “Does he sleep at night????? We don’t think so.”
A third commenter straightforwardly labeled Trump as “a menace to society,” while a fourth playfully mocked him, suggesting, “Looks like someone didn’t have their milk and cookies before bedtime.”
Trump’s recent erratic behavior appears to be linked to mounting legal pressures. He currently faces 91 felony charges across four separate cases and is embroiled in a civil fraud case in New York, presided over by Judge Arthur Engoron, where he has repeatedly violated the gag order. The stress of these legal challenges, according to former ally Chris Christie, is visibly taking a toll on Trump, prompting him to engage in late-night online outbursts.
“The walls are closing in around him. I understand that, and more importantly, he understands that,” remarked Christie during an interview, referencing Trump’s anxiety about potential legal repercussions. Christie also highlighted the significance of former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows’ immunity deal, stating that it places Trump under intense scrutiny, as Meadows is privy to crucial information regarding Trump’s actions and statements during his presidency.
