A recent chat with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, Republican presidential hopeful Chris Christie shared his belief that Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, might end up serving time in jail, even if a plea agreement is in the cards for the ongoing legal issues he’s facing.
Christie pointed out that Hunter Biden is now dealing with the legal repercussions he should have confronted earlier, specifically citing felony tax charges reported by The Hill on December 8, 2023.
When you involve millions of dollars in tax evasion, that is a felony. And the same thing with the felony gun charges, remarked Christie during the interview.
The former governor emphasized that Hunter Biden is currently in a situation where the government has substantial evidence to support the charges against him.
While acknowledging the possibility of a plea deal, Christie insisted that it wouldn’t be the lenient arrangement Hunter Biden may have received in the past.
I’m sure that he could negotiate a plea at this point, but it’s not going to be the kind of sweetheart deal he got before, Christie told Mitchell.
And my guess is that with the combination of the gun charges and the tax charges, Hunter Biden is going to have to do time in jail.
Christie’s comments come amid Hunter Biden’s recent legal troubles, including a plea agreement earlier in the year, where he was set to plead guilty to two misdemeanor charges and enter a pretrial diversion program.
