A coalition of former FBI officials has issued a warning about the safety of Americans within their country, cautioning that individuals with questionable backgrounds are entering the United States. In a letter sent to congressional leaders in both the House and Senate, the retired officials express concerns that the influx of military-aged foreign nationals through the southern border poses a threat to Americans.

The retired officials, including former Assistant FBI Directors Kevin Brock, Chris Swecker, Timothy Healy, and Mark Morgan, underscore the gravity of the situation, suggesting a potential invasion in the coming days. They point to alarming statistics, citing over 302,000 migrant encounters in December alone, following a record fiscal year with 2.4 million encounters, as reported by Fox News Digital on Saturday, January 27.

The group highlights the unprecedented nature of the current situation, stating, “In its modern history, the U.S. has never suffered an invasion of the homeland, and yet, one is unfolding now.” They draw attention to the fact that military-aged men from various countries, including those not considered friendly to the United States, are entering the country in large numbers through a border that has been widely advertised as largely unprotected.

The continuous stream of individuals crossing the border on foot, described as largely unprotected and readily accessible, intensifies their concerns. The letter echoes former FBI Director Christopher Wray’s worries about individuals evading Border Patrol.

The release of migrants in significant numbers and the revelation of over 800,000 “gotaways” in the previous fiscal year heighten their worries, portraying a picture of a porous border and a potential security crisis.

The letter draws parallels with Israel’s experiences after the October Hamas attack, cautioning against the possibility of large numbers of young males within U.S. borders launching attacks reminiscent of past tragedies.

The former agents express concerns about the specter of foreign terror groups influencing such actions, highlighting the geopolitical implications. They warn that some arrivals at the border are from areas linked to terrorism, as well as adversaries like China and Russia.

The retired officials go beyond seeing the situation as a mere coincidence, suggesting an orchestrated and strategic penetration—an alleged soft invasion with the intent to gain internal access for potential catastrophic damage. As a result, they implore Congress and federal leaders to recognize the gravity of the situation, calling for decisive action. They emphasize that the nation has been invaded and that the threat will persist as long as enemies perceive it to be tolerated.
