Vice President Kamala Harris is under scrutiny for disseminating misleading information regarding Georgia’s 2021 election integrity law, despite compelling evidence highlighting the positive impact of the legislation on voter turnout in the state.
A video posted by RNC Research on Monday, January 15, 2024, accuses Harris, the second-highest-ranking official in the United States, of perpetuating a false narrative and neglecting the proven successes of the contentious law.
Georgia, since the enactment of the controversial legislation, has witnessed an unprecedented surge in voter participation, challenging Harris’s narrative. This surge stands as a testament to the law’s effectiveness, designed to strengthen the integrity of Georgia’s elections and restore trust in the electoral system.
Responding positively to the law’s provisions, Georgia voters have embraced stricter identification requirements for absentee ballots and enhanced security measures.

However, Harris persists in spreading misinformation about the law, dismissing evidence that contradicts her claims. In a recent speech, she exclaimed, “What happened to love thy neighbor? In Georgia, they’re intentionally denying people the right to vote!”
Contrary to Harris’s assertion, there is no evidence suggesting that Georgia’s election integrity law has suppressed voter turnout or disenfranchised any segment of the population. Instead, it has established a framework that safeguards the democratic process and ensures every vote counts.
In fact, the 2021 election in Georgia witnessed record-breaking voter participation, disproving Harris’s claims. Both Republican and Democratic voters turned out in unprecedented numbers, shattering previous voter turnout records.
This unequivocally proves that the law did not hinder Georgians’ ability to cast their ballots but, in fact, encouraged them to exercise their right to vote.
It is disheartening that Harris, as the second-highest-ranking official in the country, is spreading such falsehoods instead of recognizing and celebrating the success of a law that led to increased voter engagement. Her divisive rhetoric only serves to further divide our already polarized nation and erode trust in our democratic processes.
Rather than shamelessly pushing her own political agenda, Harris should champion the truth and acknowledge the positive impact that Georgia’s election integrity law has had on voter turnout. By doing so, she would promote the importance of fair and secure elections, reinforcing the cornerstone of our democracy.
As we move forward, it is crucial for our leaders to prioritize facts over fiction and to refrain from spreading misinformation that undermines the trust and confidence of the American people. It is high time that we all come together to uphold the integrity of our elections and work towards building a more united and prosperous nation.
