About two weeks ago, media reported that former U.S. President Donald Trump shared classified information with Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt, including details about U.S. nuclear submarine capabilities and military operations.
And on Sunday, secret tapes played on 60 Minutes Australia revealed Pratt’s account of Trump disclosing sensitive information, such as bombings in Iraq before they were publicly known. According to Pratt, Trump’s demeanor was audacious, describing him as someone who spoke candidly and aimed to shock people.
Pratt, a businessman with a net worth of $9 billion, is potentially a key witness in a case against Trump, involving special counsel Jack Smith, regarding the mishandling of classified information. Pratt disclosed that Trump shared information about U.S. nuclear submarines, including the number of warheads they carry and their proximity to Russian submarines before detection.
Furthermore, Pratt revealed that Trump shared contents of a private conversation with the then-president of Iraq, Barham Salih. According to Pratt, Trump recounted a conversation where he had bombed Iraq, and the Iraqi president had protested, to which Trump brazenly responded, “What are you going to do about it?â€
Former National Security Advisor John Bolton confirmed Pratt’s accounts, describing Trump’s behavior as typical and explaining that military operation announcements are usually delayed to ensure the safety of those involved.
Pratt also disclosed Trump’s attempt to blackmail Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky into finding damaging information on Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, which led to Trump’s impeachment. Pratt emphasized Trump’s calculated approach, knowing how to avoid legal consequences while pushing boundaries.
Additionally, Pratt shared details about Trump’s disrespectful behavior towards his wife, Melania. Trump allegedly asked Melania to walk around a pool in a bikini so other men could admire her, to which she retorted that he should do the same in his bikini.
To gain influence, Pratt actively sought proximity to Trump and his associates, such as personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani. Pratt paid an inflated sum of $1 million for tickets to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club and attempted to connect with Giuliani, demonstrating his efforts to align himself with Trump’s inner circle. Pratt compared these relationships to dealings with the mafia, emphasizing the importance of being a customer rather than a competitor.
Former National Security Advisor John Bolton supported Pratt’s perspective, characterizing Trump’s communication style as resembling that of a mafioso, citing veiled threats akin to saying, “It’d be a shame if anything happened to it,†in reference to someone’s business.
