Passionate plea from a longtime Trump supporter who lost their job due to the former president’s policies has gone mega-viral, sparking heated debates across social media.
The post, which has racked up over 3 million views on X (formerly Twitter), comes from an individual claiming to be a federal worker recently laid off as part of Trump’s mass government job cuts. Despite being a dedicated supporter who voted for Trump three times, the worker found themselves unexpectedly unemployed—and is now calling on Trump to fix what they believe is an unfair situation.
A Valentine’s Day Surprise Layoff
According to Reuters, the Trump administration’s budget cuts led to mass layoffs at two research agencies within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The USDA plays a crucial role in food safety, rural infrastructure, and environmental conservation. Yet, the cuts didn’t discriminate based on political allegiance—Trump supporters and critics alike found themselves jobless.
One such worker, devastated by their termination, turned to social media in an emotional plea.
“I Voted for You Three Times—Now I Need You”
In the viral post addressed to Trump, the former USDA employee detailed their shock and frustration:
“Donald J. Trump, Hello Sir. I am one of the probationary employees terminated by the Department of Government Employees (DOGE) at 9:00 PM last night, February 14. I voted for you, Sir, three times, and I still support you.”
The worker went on to express their initial excitement over Trump’s promises to cut wasteful spending but never imagined they would be part of those cuts.
“My termination letter said I was being let go for performance reasons. I know that’s not true; I am an excellent employee. I’ve been with the Federal government for almost 16 years. Sixteen years in June.”
Their plea continued, emphasizing their dedication and belief in Trump’s leadership:
“Each time I voted for you, it was because I knew you’d make things right and you’d fix the wrongs. I’m counting on you now to make this right too.”
Little Sympathy From Fellow MAGA Supporters
Instead of rallying behind their fellow Trump supporter, many MAGA commenters had a blunt response: This is what they voted for.
“This is business, people. You don’t sacrifice a country with bankruptcy just to let people keep a job,” one person wrote.
Another added, “Do these people think they are going to get an exception because they are Trumpers?”
Some pointed out that Trump had been vocal about cutting government spending since day one. “I hear you,” a commenter said, “but all along in his campaign he proclaimed all he was going to do. You believed him… so here you are. You voted for it.”
As the post continues to circulate, it has become a flashpoint for debates over loyalty, government layoffs, and the unexpected consequences of political choices. For now, one thing is clear: Even the most devoted supporters aren’t always exempt from the policies they champion.
