Turning to the Mar-a-Lago case, Taub highlighted an alleged “discovery failure,” emphasizing her surprise at Trump’s failure to submit any documents—an occurrence she deemed unprecedented.

In the context of an immunity appeal hearing, Trump’s attorneys reportedly stumbled when asserting that ex-presidents would be immune from prosecution if they orchestrated an attack against a political adversary. Taub expressed concern, stating, “This is very scary. His lawyers made those arguments today,” suggesting that such assertions should be considered a potential legal transgression in themselves, even if she remained skeptical about the likelihood of the judges accepting such arguments.
