Meghan McCain, the daughter of late Senator John McCain, recently stirred controversy after threatening to “spill the tea” about Vice President Kamala Harris. Her statements, however, failed to gain much traction, with many criticizing her for using her father’s legacy to remain relevant.

During a campaign stop in Arizona, Harris shared an anecdote about her early days as a Senator and a supportive moment with John McCain. The story was well-received by both Democrats and Republicans, with many seeing it as a rare example of bipartisanship.

Meghan McCain, however, took issue with Harris using her father’s memory, accusing the Vice President of twisting her dad’s legacy for political gain. She posted on social media, hinting at revealing some negative comments her father allegedly made about Harris.

Despite her dramatic warning, the public reaction was largely dismissive. Many pointed out the irony of Meghan accusing Harris of exploiting her father’s memory while doing the same herself. Some social media users even brought up past instances where Meghan used her father’s name for personal gain, including promoting her book.

Ultimately, McCain’s threat to “spill the tea” fizzled out, with critics questioning the sincerity of her claims and her motives. Her attempt to call out Harris did little to sway public opinion, leaving many wondering if Meghan’s outburst was more about her own relevance than anything Kamala Harris said.
