The Running Man was originally published in 1982 under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. The narrative centers on Ben Richards, portrayed by Glen Powell, a desperate man who joins the deadly game show, The Running Man. Contestants are hunted by teams of killers, with the stakes rising the longer they survive. Richards soon learns that he must outsmart the system and reveal the show’s sinister secrets.
