A recent House Judiciary Committee report reveals a significant national security concern: under the Biden administration, over 100 undocumented migrants on the terror watchlist have been released into the U.S. The report, first obtained by Fox News, underscores the growing worry about the safety of American communities amid an unprecedented influx of migrants from high-risk countries.
Key Findings of the Report
According to the report, Border Patrol agents have encountered migrants from over 30 different countries on the terror watchlist between fiscal years 2021 and 2023. Of the more than 250 individuals identified, at least 99 have been released into U.S. communities. An additional 34 remain in custody but have not yet been deported.
The report also highlights that immigration judges have released 27 watchlisted migrants on bond, adding to concerns about border security. Tens of thousands of migrants from countries such as Afghanistan, China, Iran, Syria, and Uzbekistan have been processed, bringing the total number of high-risk individuals to over 39,000.
Surge in Watchlist Encounters
The report reveals a dramatic 3,000% increase in encounters with watchlist individuals at the southern border, indicating a severe escalation in the number of potential terrorists attempting to enter the U.S. This rise reflects broader issues with border security and immigration policies.
Partisan Divide on Immigration Policies
The Biden administration blames Republicans for insufficient funding and lack of reforms to address the immigration system. Conversely, Republicans criticize the administration for reversing Trump-era policies, which they argue has led to the current crisis.

Recent Security Threats
Recent incidents further underscore the threat. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently uncovered an ISIS-linked smuggling operation that transported over 400 individuals from Eastern Europe and Central Asia into the U.S. Additionally, federal authorities arrested eight Tajikistan nationals with ISIS connections who entered the U.S. illegally through the southern border.
Calls for Action
National security experts and immigration officials are increasingly concerned about the potential for terrorist infiltration through the southern border. The report urges policymakers to take decisive action to secure the border and address the vulnerabilities in the immigration system.
The findings of the House Judiciary Committee’s report highlight the urgent need for effective border security measures. As debates continue over immigration policies, the safety of American communities remains a critical issue, with calls for more robust actions to prevent terrorist threats from exploiting border vulnerabilities.
