In a report released by The Messenger on January 26, 2024, Nikki Haley, the former UN ambassador and current Republican presidential candidate, has been actively engaging in a war of words with Donald Trump, drawing attention to his vulnerabilities and insecurities.

Joy Behar, co-host of ABC’s The View, commended Haley for spotlighting Trump’s weaknesses. Despite their policy disagreements, Behar appreciated Haley’s efforts, stating, “I don’t have to approve of everything on her policies.”

Behar, known for her liberal views, took a jab at Trump, suggesting that at least Haley wouldn’t be “governing from cell block 11,” hinting at potential legal challenges for Trump. She noted that Haley was serving a purpose by needling Trump, highlighting his insecurities and making him react.

Reflecting on past incidents, Behar recalled Trump’s aggressive response to Rosie O’Donnell on The View, emphasizing his inability to handle criticism. She asserted, “The more you needle him and punch him a little bit…The more insecure he gets, the more senile he sounds.”

Other co-hosts, including Sara Haines, weighed in on the feud, with Haines emphasizing Trump’s reactive and unhinged responses to Haley, particularly because she is a woman.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Trump administration official and conservative commentator, expressed concerns about Trump’s self-inflicted damage through his attacks on Haley. Griffin suggested that Trump’s behavior could lead to a decline in his approval ratings, even among Republicans.

While acknowledging concerns about Haley’s foreign policy and shifting stance on Trump, Griffin remained unsure if Haley would be a better president than Trump. She highlighted Haley’s inconsistent position on Trump, oscillating between support and opposition.

Despite their criticisms, The View’s hosts admitted a preference for Trump as the Republican nominee, believing he would be easier to defeat by President Joe Biden. They speculated that Haley’s continued presence in the race might further expose Trump’s vulnerabilities and contribute to his perceived decline.
