Twist that’s got fans buzzing, Ryan Reynolds recently revealed that he’s not the one grooving to *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” in the opening scene of “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Instead, it’s his talented dance double, known as Dancepool, who takes center stage.
During a press conference, Reynolds, who plays the wise-cracking Deadpool, clarified that the impressive dance moves in the film were choreographed by Nick Pauley, the man behind the Dancepool persona. “If it looks like the person who’s dancing doesn’t have arthritis, that’s him,” Reynolds joked, highlighting Pauley’s skill and energy in the scene.

The film’s opening credits feature Deadpool, in his trademark suit, performing a choreography reminiscent of *NSYNC’s iconic music video. The scene involves Deadpool, having some dark fun with Wolverine’s adamantium bones, while dancing to the catchy tune. Reynolds admitted that while he does some of the dance moves himself, many are executed by Pauley, adding a humorous touch to the action-packed sequence.

Pauley, who has previously appeared in “The Prom” and music videos for Katy Perry and Doja Cat, is credited as Dancepool in “Deadpool & Wolverine.” The choreographer expressed his excitement on social media, celebrating his role and the opportunity to work with Reynolds and director Shawn Levy.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” continues to make waves, with its July 26 release marking the biggest R-rated opening ever and the eighth-biggest domestic opening of all time. As the first film in the series under Walt Disney Studios, it integrates the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the newly acquired X-Men characters.
