The 68-year-old recently tied the knot with his fiancée, Lorna, marking a new chapter in his life six years after Stacey’s passing.
A Heartbreaking Journey
Stacey Young was diagnosed with brain cancer and bravely battled the illness for two years before passing away in January 2018 at the age of 52. Stacey and Paul met in 1983 when she appeared in his music video for “Come Back And Stay.” They married in 1987 and had three children together: Levi, Layla, and Grady. Despite splitting in 2006, they reunited in 2013, with Paul also becoming a stepfather to Stacey’s fourth child, Jude.
Paul opened up about the emotional turmoil he faced during Stacey’s illness, sharing how focusing on his work helped him cope. “Emotionally you’re all over the place,” he told the Daily Mail. “But I decided, ‘I have to go out on the road, I’ve got to earn money because I don’t know what I’m going to have to pay for, I don’t know what’s ahead of me.'”

In October last year, Paul announced his engagement to Lorna, and they recently celebrated their wedding. On Instagram, he joyfully shared, “Meet the new Mrs. Young! Today I married the most wonderful girl. Despite many of his contemporaries giving up alcohol, Paul admitted he still enjoys the occasional drink, particularly red wine. “I haven’t stopped at all. I don’t get drunk any more but drinking is still a part of my life. I’ve a big weakness for a good red wine. But half a bottle is fine. Or maybe two-thirds,” he shared.
