Political Earthquake Is Coming”: James Carville Predicts the Date Trump Should Fear Most

Democratic strategist James Carville just dropped a bombshell prediction that could spell disaster for Donald Trump—and it’s happening way sooner than you think.

In a fiery interview with MSNBC’s Ari Melber, Carville warned Democrats not to interfere with the growing protests against Trump and his billionaire ally, Elon Musk. Instead, he urged them to “play possum” and let the movement build momentum.

“What I think they should do is what we call in rural America play possum,” Carville said. “Just let it go. Don’t get in the way of it. Or as we like to say, ‘Don’t just stand there. Do nothing.’ Let this germinate.”

Comparing the backlash against Trump to an unstoppable freight train, Carville hinted that a major turning point is on the horizon. And for Trump, it won’t be pretty.

“In the immortal words of Dalton in Road House, be nice until it’s time not to be nice,” he said. “And that time is coming shortly.”

But Carville didn’t stop there—he dismissed moderates who claim people are overreacting, calling the current political climate a “real-time catastrophe.” Still, he’s confident Trump’s reckoning is near.

The Date That Could Flip the Script

Carville pinpointed a crucial event that could shake Trump’s political standing: Virginia’s gubernatorial election on November 5. With Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin stepping down, Carville believes federal employees in northern Virginia—many of whom have been targeted by Trump’s policies—will turn out in droves to vote against him.

“Think about the turnout among federal employees,” he said. “What percent of the voters in northern Virginia are federal employees or families of federal employees? Do you think they’re gonna vote? I think they’re gonna vote. I think I know which way they’re gonna vote, and they’re gonna vote heavily.”

Federal workers have faced relentless attacks from Trump and Musk, including budget cuts, department shutdowns, and mass layoffs. With their jobs and futures on the line, Carville suggests they could be the key force in a political storm that’s brewing faster than anyone expects.
