Princess Kate, who was previously very close to Prince Harry, now finds herself separated from her brother-in-law. According to Emily Andrews, Kate’s family has been her pillar of strength during her cancer treatment, while Harry’s support has been conspicuously missing. Andrews continues, “Surely illness is one of the most powerful reasons to reunite and to put the past firmly in the history books? Instead, the wedge appears to be even larger, with no sign of a bridge to connect the pair.”

The tension between Kate and Harry reportedly escalated after Meghan Markle joined the Royal Family. The stress peaked in 2018 during preparations for Harry and Meghan’s wedding. In “Spare,” Harry recounts a disagreement over Princess Charlotte’s flower girl dress that led to a fallout between Kate and Meghan.
