Sharon Stone is setting the record straight after a recent photo showing her with a black eye sparked shock and wild speculation. The “Basic Instinct” star shared a video message on social media to address concerns and reassure her fans that she’s doing just fine.
The concern started when Stone posted a photo from Turkey on Instagram, revealing a noticeable black eye. Fans and followers quickly expressed worry, with some even jumping to bizarre conspiracy theories. Stone, however, took it all in stride. In her video message, she explained how the injury happened and reassured everyone about her well-being.
“I know you’re all worried about how I got a black eye, so I thought I’d let you know,” Stone said, wearing sunglasses. She went on to describe the incident with a touch of humor, saying, “I’ve been in so many hotels in so many countries that I got up in the middle of the night to pee and didn’t know where I was and smacked my face on the marble. No, nobody did anything to me. And, yes, I’m just fine and I’m having a great time.”
Stone lifted her shades to show her shiner, noting, “It’s getting better, but it really is a good-looking shiner.” She added with a smile, “You should see what I did to that marble floor.”
The actor also addressed the outlandish theories circulating on social media, including claims about a secret “Black Eye Club” involving celebrities and world leaders. Stone dismissed these theories as baseless and unfounded.
Stone, a prominent figure in the 1990s known for her roles in “Casino” and “Total Recall,” has faced significant health challenges in the past. In 2001, she suffered a stroke and brain bleed, with doctors giving her only a 1% chance of survival. Since then, she has been open about her health struggles and financial losses from her medical issues. Despite this, she has continued her charitable work and recently received a lifetime achievement award at Italy’s Taormina Film Festival.
Currently, Stone is enjoying her travels, with recent photos from Cannes and Rome, where she was seen strolling with one of her sons. She concluded her video message with heartfelt thanks to her fans, saying, “Thanks so much for caring about me. I care about you, too.”
Stone’s update not only clears up the mystery surrounding her injury but also highlights her ongoing commitment to her fans and her resilient spirit.
