Delaware businessman Bill Stevenson has leveled accusations against President Joe Biden, claiming the appropriation of a personal story during Biden’s 1972 Senate campaign. Stevenson alleges that Biden, then a friend, swiped a football-related anecdote just moments after hearing it at Stevenson’s Newark nightspot.
Stevenson, 75, detailed the incident in an interview with Newsmax, recalling how Biden made the story about a preschool football coach and a women’s bathroom schedule his own within two hours. “He just acted like it was his own story. I just told myself, ‘This must be what politicians are like,'” Stevenson expressed.
Adding complexity to the saga is Stevenson’s assertion that Jill Biden, now the First Lady, was his wife at the time. Despite the brief marriage and separation in 1975, Stevenson claims betrayal and intimidation by Joe Biden, allegedly orchestrated through Biden’s brother, Frankie Biden.
President Biden, however, recounts the start of his relationship with Jill differently, insisting it began in March 1975 after a blind date arranged by Frankie. The conflicting narratives contribute to the drama surrounding the revelations.
In her memoir, “Where the Light Enters,” Jill Biden dismisses Stevenson’s claims of infidelity, writing, “I truly believed we were destined for each other…looking back, it may seem like a mistake of youth.”
Despite Stevenson acknowledging Jill’s charm, the explosive allegations have faced skepticism. Jill’s spokesperson swiftly denied the accusations, deeming them “fictitious” and possibly driven by a desire to sell a book. The spokesperson reiterated the well-documented nature of Joe and Jill Biden’s relationship.
As the love triangle scandal unfolds, questions about the First Lady’s personal history emerge, offering a glimpse into the complexities of relationships and their portrayal. If proven true, these accusations could cast a shadow on Biden’s credibility and integrity, a matter of particular concern given the timing amid his presidential term. The public awaits further developments in this unexpected chapter of the Biden saga.
