Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, has declined to testify under oath regarding the security of the state’s Dominion Voting Machines, a move that has sparked significant concerns about the integrity of elections.
The Gateway Pundit recently revealed the previously undisclosed Halderman Report, a 96-page Security Analysis of Georgia’s Dominion Voting Systems. This report, kept hidden by Raffensperger for two years, shed light on vulnerabilities within the Dominion software, potentially opening it to hacking.
Authored by University of Michigan Professor J. Halderman and Security Researcher Drew Sringall, the report detailed exploitable flaws in the Dominion Voting Machines. It highlighted a critical arbitrary-code-execution vulnerability that could enable malware to spread across multiple machines without physical access.
Despite possessing this information for two years, Raffensperger, who is notably recognized for his opposition to former President Trump, postponed the installation of Dominion’s security patches until after the 2024 Presidential election.
This revelation has caused astonishment and raised doubts about Raffensperger’s commitment to ensuring the security of elections.
As Georgia gears up for a non-jury trial in January, wherein Raffensperger is required to defend the state’s use of electronic voting machines, he has refused to testify. The lawsuit challenges the safety and vulnerability of Georgia’s computerized voting system, emphasizing the pressing need for answers.
The non-jury trial was mandated by U.S. District Judge Amy Totenberg, who previously sealed the Halderman Report. However, Raffensperger’s refusal to testify has led to an appeal to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. This move has drawn criticism for utilizing taxpayer funds to evade defending a system he selected and consistently asserted as secure.
This development in the ongoing saga of Georgia’s voting machines has raised broader concerns about election transparency and potential implications for future elections.
With critical decisions on the horizon and the Secretary of State’s reluctance to address these significant issues in court, the integrity of Georgia’s electoral process is under scrutiny. This situation has fueled public apprehension, necessitating closer examination and accountability.
