On Truth Social, Donald Trump criticized Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show as the “single worst in history,” following her alleged insults towards more than half of the nation, accompanied by what he deemed as “foul and insulting language.” Trump also questioned the credibility of her ‘Stylist.’
In a reported revelation by The Washington Post on Saturday, a research firm engaged by Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign to substantiate claims of electoral fraud failed to provide evidence supporting the theories. The Berkeley Research Group, tasked with examining voting data from six states, reportedly tested about a dozen claims. However, the findings did not align with the campaign team’s expectations and were never publicly disclosed.
While the research identified some anomalies and “unusual data patterns,” according to the Post, these discrepancies were deemed insufficient to impact President Joe Biden’s victory. Moreover, the firm’s findings contradicted certain election conspiracies propagated by Trump, such as the use of deceased individuals’ identities for voting and allegations of manipulation by Dominion voting systems.
The research took place in the final weeks of 2020, predating the January 6 US Capitol attack. Sources indicated that the House January 6 committee investigating Trump’s role in the insurrection was unaware of the firm’s work. Despite these findings, Trump continues to perpetuate his election falsehoods as he gears up for a potential 2024 White House bid.
CNN previously reported on Trump’s attempts to pivot away from incessantly revisiting the 2020 election during his first rally last month, emphasizing forward-driven messages for a potential second term. Despite advice to move past the election narrative, Trump remains steadfast in promoting election integrity, believing it resonates with his base. He dismisses the defeat of some Trump-backed midterm candidates who denied the legitimacy of the 2020 election, asserting that their losses were unrelated to their election lies.
