High Point Police Department is investigating a heartbreaking Saturday morning shooting that claimed the life of 20-year-old Brandon Harris Jr. and left two others injured. The incident unfolded around 12:19 a.m. on the 3300 block of Colony Drive, where officers responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Upon arrival, police discovered several gunshots had been fired inside a residence, leaving a devastating scene. Four individuals were inside the home at the time, and three sustained gunshot wounds. Tragically, Harris Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene, while the two other victims were rushed to a local hospital. Authorities confirmed that both survivors remain hospitalized in stable condition.
The Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigation and assures the community that all individuals involved have been identified, with no ongoing threat. However, no charges have been filed at this time.
