A recent interview with John Solomon on Real America’s Voice, former President Donald Trump unleashed his frustration towards special counsel Jack Smith. Trump criticized Smith’s motion aiming to exclude him from presenting conspiracy theories about the January 6 attack and allegations of selective prosecution.
Trump, adamant about blaming Nancy Pelosi for the attack, accused Smith of defending the former House speaker by blocking evidence. Despite the debunking of Trump’s claims by his former Secretary of Defense, he continues to push this narrative, despite its irrelevance to the charges against him.
During the interview, Trump boasted about the crowd size at his Stop the Steal rally, diverting attention from the January 6 attack. He labeled Smith as a deranged human being and attacked the January 6 Select Committee, alleging they deleted evidence to cover up Pelosi’s alleged negligence in handling troops.
It’s worth noting that Trump’s claims lack factual basis and have been refuted by committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, who asserts that all evidence required by law has been preserved. The interview highlighted Trump’s ongoing efforts to shift the narrative and deflect attention from the charges against him.
