In a striking prediction ahead of Election Day, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson warned that Elon Musk could face serious repercussions if Kamala Harris secures the presidency. Speaking with Steve Bannon, former White House strategist to Donald Trump, on War Room, Carlson expressed concerns over Musk’s future if Harris wins, given Musk’s deep involvement in federal contracts and his support for Trump.
Carlson shared, “Elon Musk joked to me, and has done so many times, that he’s going to end up in prison if Trump loses.” He added, “I don’t know if prison is likely, but [Musk] will be destroyed for sure—and yet, he’s still supporting Trump. That gives a lot of people heart.”
Elon Musk’s Investment in Trump’s Campaign Raises Stakes
Musk, a prominent figure with government contracts valued over $3 billion for his companies SpaceX and Tesla, has been notably vocal in his support for Trump during this election cycle. Not only has Musk been a visible presence at Trump rallies, but he has also actively posted endorsements on his social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter). Recently, Musk launched a controversial voter engagement initiative that offered monetary prizes to voters in swing states who signed a petition supporting the First and Second Amendments, sparking a Justice Department investigation.
According to Carlson, Musk’s support for Trump demonstrates a high-stakes personal and professional risk. “People with a lot to lose are rallying around Trump, and they’ve been marked for destruction if this doesn’t work,” he stated. “They’ll be at Trump’s side if the results are contested.”
Election Tensions Mount as Prominent Figures Brace for Potential Fallout
Carlson and Bannon’s conversation also highlighted concerns over the election potentially being contested, with Carlson noting that 2024 may see even more fervent support for Trump than in 2020. “If the election is contested, Trump won’t be alone. There will be many influential figures—like Musk—who have a vested interest in the outcome and are prepared to stand with him.”
While both sides hope for an uncontested election, the political landscape suggests a tense road ahead. Bannon, recently released from prison following a four-month sentence for defying a subpoena from the January 6th House Committee, told Newsweek in a recent interview that he is “100 percent certain” Trump will emerge victorious.
With the election just a day away, the stakes have reached unprecedented heights, leaving influential backers like Musk facing potentially dire consequences should the political tide turn in favor of Harris.
