In a recent viral video circulating on various social media platforms, an apparent scene of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden participating in a soldier’s prayer for Donald Trump’s return to the White House has been exposed as a fabrication.

The manipulated clip, which gained traction on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter), featured a soldier imploring, “Please get rid of Joe Biden and bring back the real president, Donald J Trump. Amen.” President Biden, recognized for his Catholic faith, seemingly acknowledged the message by making the sign of the cross, intensifying the deceptive narrative.

However, a thorough investigation into the video’s origins uncovered a disturbing truth – the audio had been manipulated, distorting the soldier’s original prayer. The video, shared widely with speculations and discussions about its authenticity, was found to be a result of horizontal flipping and an overlaid fabricated audio track.

The genuine footage, originating from a Friendsgiving dinner attended by President Biden and the first lady at the Norfolk Naval Station in Virginia on November 19, revealed a stark contrast to the manipulated version. The event included service members from the USS Dwight D Eisenhower and the USS Gerald R Ford, two Navy aircraft carriers.

During the unaltered White House footage, it was evident that the chaplain’s prayer diverged significantly from the deceptive narrative presented in the manipulated video. Contrary to the claim that the soldier prayed for Trump’s return, the original prayer expressed gratitude for American freedom, acknowledged the sacrifices of service members and their families, and sought guidance, support, and protection for the United States and its military.

The chaplain’s concluding words in the unaltered footage were clear: “We ask your divine favor on this gathering. Bless our fellowship. Bless the food that we will receive. In your holy name, we pray. Amen.” The misinformation embedded in the manipulated video, amplified by various social media platforms, underscores the importance of verifying sources and scrutinizing content to prevent the spread of misleading information.
