Donald Trump talks so much that the White House is struggling to keep up, forcing officials to consider hiring more stenographers to document his never-ending speeches. In his first week back in office, Trump spoke for an astonishing 7 hours and 44 minutes, delivering 81,235 words—nearly four times the length of Joe Biden’s first-week speeches.

The return of Trump’s rapid-fire commentary has put immense pressure on White House staff. On Inauguration Day alone, stenographers had to transcribe more than 22,000 words, and his visits to disaster zones in North Carolina and California added another 17,000 words to the pile. Insiders say discussions are already underway to expand the team just to handle the overwhelming workload.

Trump’s speeches cover a wide range of topics—often veering off course. During a recent signing ceremony, he praised his achievements, made unverified claims about Hamas using U.S.-funded condoms as explosives, and announced plans to use Guantánamo Bay for detaining undocumented immigrants. Even a press conference on a deadly air crash turned into a rant about air traffic control policies under Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

The former reality TV star turned politician has always been a master of commanding attention. His unfiltered, off-the-cuff style keeps the media and his political opponents on edge. While Biden carefully structured his public appearances, Trump thrives on constant engagement, often speaking at multiple events in a single day.

His approach raises concerns among political analysts. Some believe his relentless talking strategy is a way to dominate news cycles and keep his critics scrambling. Others warn that excessive, unstructured speeches might eventually exhaust the public.

Even Trump’s former aides admit that his speaking habits are unlike any other president. “He’s dictating the news on his terms,” said Michael LaRosa, a former spokesperson for Jill Biden.

Despite the chaos, Trump’s allies see his non-stop speeches as a sign of transparency and accessibility, contrasting him with Biden’s more measured approach. Whether this strategy will work in his favor or wear out his audience remains to be seen.
