According to West Yorkshire Police, a 14-year-old is currently being held on suspicion of murdering Alfie Lewis, the 15-year-old who was fatally stabbed outside St Margaret’s Primary School in Horsforth, Leeds. The heartbroken family of Alfie, described as ‘one in a million,’ has issued a statement through the police, expressing their devastation and paying tribute to his generous nature.
Alfie was reportedly attacked while on his way to pick up another child at the school. Following the incident, two teenagers were arrested. The police spokesperson confirmed the arrest of a 14-year-old shortly after the stabbing, who remains in custody. Another 16-year-old, previously arrested, has since been released without charge.
The grief-stricken family, in their statement, eulogized Alfie for his immense kindness, highlighting his caring nature and impact on those around him. They emphasized that his untimely death has irreversibly changed their lives.
Police have initiated investigations into the tragic stabbing, conducting searches in pursuit of further information related to the case.
