Whoopi Goldberg, co-host of “The View,” responded defiantly to former President Trump’s recent social media post ridiculing her previous comments about potentially leaving the country if he won the 2016 election. During Monday’s episode of the talk show, Goldberg addressed Trump’s meme and asserted her intention to stay, labeling Trump a “little snowflake.”
Goldberg criticized Trump’s assertion that “nobody” wants her, highlighting her contractual commitment to continue as a co-host on “The View.” She emphasized, “I’m not going anywhere, alright? And it’s not for the reason you might think, you little snowflake.”
The meme shared by Trump featured a distorted image of Goldberg with the caption, “I’m moving to Canada, for sure this time!” Trump’s accompanying comment stated, “Canada doesn’t want you Whoopi, NOBODY DOES!!!”
While Goldberg has not reiterated her intention to leave the country if Trump wins the 2024 election, she had suggested it in 2016. However, she clarified during Monday’s show that she will remain in her current role due to her contractual obligations.
Goldberg’s response showcases her resilience and determination to stand firm against criticism, maintaining her position and commitment despite political differences.
