World War II veteran from Ohio is turning 104 next month, and his birthday wish has set the internet on fire. Denver Moore, a decorated veteran and proud patriot, has one request for his big day—he wants former President Donald Trump to celebrate with him.
Moore, who will officially reach the incredible milestone on May 15, made his heartfelt plea in a TikTok video that has racked up more than 700,000 views in just ten days. Sporting a bright red “MAGA” hat, he addressed Trump directly: “I’m going to be 104 in May, and I’m inviting you to my birthday party on the 17th.”
The emotional message was filmed and shared by Allison Dudley, a close family friend, who chimed in at the end of the clip, urging Trump to take the veteran up on his offer. “He’s a World War II veteran – Army Air Corps. You should come and visit him. He wants you here for his birthday.”
Moore, a resident at Danbury Senior Living in Massillon, Ohio, has become a beloved figure at the facility, known for his incredible storytelling and deep love for America. “We all really enjoy having Denver as one of our residents here. He’s a great historian and storyteller, and it’s a real honor to be a part of this with him,” said Kelli Beckler, executive director of Danbury Senior Living, in an interview with The Canton Repository.
As the video continues to gain traction, people from across the country have been reaching out, wanting to send cards and gifts to honor the veteran’s special day. His son, Rich Moore, is hopeful that his father’s wish will come true. “If this makes him happy, then great. Whatever it takes.”
Born and raised on a farm in Noble County, Ohio, Moore was drafted into service in 1942 before working at the U.S. Postal Service post-war. His dedication to his country is unwavering. “It’s a wonderful country. I’m glad God gave us the United States,” he said proudly.
Moore, who never expected to go viral, is still in awe of the response. “In my long life, I never dreamed of that happening,” he told The Repository. His birthday celebration, featuring a parade with fire trucks and police cars, is already set to be a grand event—but will Trump make an appearance?
The White House has yet to comment, but with thousands of people rallying behind Moore’s wish, anything is possible.
