Former President Donald Trump has released a new campaign ad that suggests his 2016 presidential rival, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, aimed to brainwash voters into supporting President Biden. Posted on his Truth Social account, the ad features footage of voters seemingly being brainwashed while snippets of Clinton praising Biden’s work play in the background.
The ad captures a portion of Clinton’s recent interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, where she called for a “formal deprogramming” of MAGA, referring to the “Make America Great Again” movement, labeling them as “cult members.”
“Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members,” Clinton remarked during the interview. She further criticized Trump, stating, “He’s only in it for himself.”
The ad also took aim at “Bidenomics,” the moniker given to President Biden’s economic agenda. The narrator countered, “But there’s one small problem. Working Americans aren’t idiots,” asserting that they can discern who truly supports their interests.
The video shifts to a rally clip of Trump addressing economic concerns, including inflation, a contentious topic among Trump supporters critical of Biden’s economic policies. “To American workers watching their take-home pay shrink and witnessing inflation erode their families’ lives, I have your back,” Trump declared in the footage.
Sharing the video on Truth Social, Trump emphasized the theme, labeling the followers as “BRAINWASHED.”
This new ad emerges amidst increasing speculation about a 2024 rematch between Trump and Biden, both prominent contenders for their respective parties’ nominations.
